A little bit about what and why you're here

Being a pilot was voted the sexiest job in America. And the 3 rd most dangerous … after construction workers and loggers. And less than 6% of those sexy, endangered pilots are women.

I am one of them – so I wrote a web series about what it’s like to work in a male dominated field that exists thousands of feet in the air … where only a limited number of people can hear you scream. And if there’s a crying baby then nobody hears you at all.

Flying has always fascinated and excited people. Every time I tell someone I’m a pilot, there are always a dozen follow-up questions – like, “Is that okay with your husband?” or “How does a fuel-injected engine work?” or “Is it too late to deplane?” The answer to all of these questions is,

“Yes”.

“Lady Pilot” explores the world of flying right from the beginning of flight training. What kind of people take flying lessons? And more importantly, what kind of people shouldn’t. For most of us, our only experience with pilots is seeing part of their left shoulder as we board our commercial flight. But the aviation world is so much more complicated than that. There are a multitude of prizes and pitfalls as you progress from being a student pilot to becoming an airline Captain. It’s like an obstacle course – that costs $100,000 and involves a disproportionate amount of verbal abuse.

There has never been a comedy series about aviation – unless you count the pilot recordings from the flight deck of a Southwest aircraft. And there has NEVER been a series about women in aviation. Until now.

LADY PILOT – EPISODE #1 – INTERNATIONAL MAN OF MYSTERY

In “International Man of Mystery”, we watch Marcia – certified flight instructor – attempt to teach a foreign student named Ping how to fly in busy U.S. airspace. The flying is easy – it’s the radios that’ll kill ya. Say again?

Everybody knows that “Lady Pilots Are Hot” … but only when they can actually fly the plane. Rosalita and her men-tourage arrive for a sexy flying session with Marcia – certified flight instructor. Except Rosalita isn’t interested in education – just Instagram. Roger that.

LADY PILOT – EPISODE #3 – PUERTO VIAGRA

The number one vacation destination for overly medicated retired pilots is “Puerto Viagra”. Marcia – certified flight instructor – is hired to fly with George down to his romantic hideaway in Mexico. Watch how rapidly this trip ages her. No joy.

The best students are the ones who learned to fly from watching “Top Gun”. Ty is an actor who played a pilot on tv and now wants Marcia – certified flight instructor – to teach him the real thing. And he’s very Method. Mayday.
